The inaugural Cybersecurity Across Disciplines (CyAD) Conference took place at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois on August 1-2, 2023. The CyAD conference was developed to bring community/technical college faculty together from various fields, including Cybersecurity, Aerospace, Automotive, Marine and Geospatial Technologies, Business, Healthcare, and disciplines associated with Autonomous Technologies such as Automation and Manufacturing.

CyAD participants came together to explore the critical aspects of cybersecurity within these disciplines through breakout workshops that provided customized training, case studies, and scenarios from different fields. At CyAD, faculty learned from field experts, witnessed demonstrations of cutting-edge resources and tools that enhance cybersecurity practices and had the opportunity to network with other faculty from diverse disciplines.

CyAD was organized by the National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (NCyTE) in partnership with their host institution, Whatcom Community College and Moraine Valley Community College. Funding for the 2023 CyAD conference came from the National Security Agency and Microsoft Philanthropies.
