NCYTE Center actively works to address the limited resources at community colleges by developing innovative curriculum on cybersecurity and related topics. Many of the curricula developed with support from NCYTE Center help faculty meet emerging needs in cybersecurity education.
For example, Whatcom Community College (the lead institution for NCYTE Center) has received many requests for information about its Industrial Control Systems Security course from other colleges, and the utilities industry has also expressed significant interest. In response, NCYTE Center contracted with George Mason University School to reconfigure its graduate-level course "Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience: The Cyber Dimension" for community colleges.
Subject matter experts from around the United States contributed to the revised course, and "Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity" is now available for free download by college faculty. The original George Mason University course is also available for download through the NCYTE Center website.
NCYTE Center also offers materials for courses on Health IT Privacy and Security, the intersection of cybersecurity and intelligence work, and other cutting-edge subject matter.
