It's not news that the U.S. is suffering a severe shortage of qualified cybersecurity professionals. Yet many veterans face challenges, such as a lack of understanding of their transferable skills and unstable employment, in finding work within the tech industry.
Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) is working diligently to help reduce those barriers for our female veterans in the community and connect them with resources and opportunities to claim their place and thrive in cybersecurity.
The WiCyS Veteran Fellowship Award (sponsored by the Craig Newmark Foundation) will be provided to selected eligible female veterans who are either interested in cybersecurity careers, or who are already working in the field and looking to further advance their careers.
Applications are now open until December 15th.
