NCyTE welcomed Karen Leuschner and Lori Pfannenstein of the National Security Agency as guest speakers at its Member Webinar on Friday, May 21, to present on the evolution of the process by which colleges and universities apply to be designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (CAE-C).
They discussed the Program of Study (PoS) Validation process, which is the first step toward earning the CAE designation, as well as the CAE application process as a whole. The program has been updated in the past year along with the development of a new CAE Application Tool. Their presentation explored some lessons learned through piloting of the revised processes and requirements.
