The NCyTE Center and the CAE in Cybersecurity Community are working together to host the National Cybersecurity Virtual Career Fair on Friday, September 17, 2021.
The event, formerly called the CAE in Cybersecurity Virtual Career Fair, is open to students and alumni from more than 300 institutions designated as Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD), Research (CAE-R), and Cyber Operations (CAE-CO), and institutions in the CAE Candidates Program (pending approval).
As the CAE in Cybersecurity program has continued to designate new CAEs, the number of participants in the annual event has grown over the past four years. More than 1400 students and alumni participated in the 2020 virtual career fair.
The virtual event has proven to be a effective way to connect qualified new graduates and interns with employers. Both employers and students rated the 2020 career fair positively in follow-up surveys. Many students find job opportunities through the virtual career fair, and many employers return each year to participate.
The 2021 National Cybersecurity Career Fair is funded through a partnership between the NCYTE Center at Whatcom Community College (National Science Foundation Grant #1902329) and the CAE in Cybersecurity Community at California State University San Bernardino (National Security Agency Grant #H98230-20-1-0292).
