San Antonio College Workshop at Capacity
January 10, 2020 - CAE KU/Criteria & Scholarship for Service (SFS) Workshops scheduled for February 14, 2019 at San Antonio College are now at capacity.
Announced in late December, the workshops are created to support faculty and administrators at institutions interested in the CAE or those institutions seeking CAE re-designation.
These 2020 CAE workshops will review the required two-part application process required for designation as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. The workshop covers the Program of Study Validation, explaining the process and materials needed to successfully validate your program of study before pursuing the CAE designation. Then, the second part of the training will review the required criteria and the necessary resources, capacity and processes needed to successfully earn the CAE designation.
In addition to the training on the CAE, this particular workshop includes an overview of the Scholarship For Service (SFS), a National Science Foundation Funded grant program that is now available to CAE designated community colleges. The program is designed to recruit and train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals to meet the needs of the cybersecurity mission for federal, state, local, and tribal governments.
