At this month's Member Webinar, guest speaker Karen Wetzel, Manager of the NICE Framework, will introduce the changes that have been made to the framework following a year-long effort to review and update it.
The Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity (aka the NICE Framework) serves as a common, consistent lexicon that categorizes and describes cybersecurity work, improving communication about how organizations can identify, recruit, develop and retain cybersecurity talent.
Ms. Wetzel's presentation will provide an overview of the revised framework, with a focus on what's changed; suggest tools to help industry, government and academia implement the framework; and explain how the framework and the CAE Knowledge Units (KUs) align.
Members interested in preparing for the webinar may want to read the blog post "Back to the Basics: Announcing the New NICE Framework" on the Cybersecurity Insights blog, published on the National Institute of Standards and Technology website.
Karen A. Wetzel is the Manager of the NICE Framework, National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), National Institute of Standards and Technology, U.S. Department of Commerce.
Please note: Only the registrations of representatives of NCyTE member institutions and industry partners will be approved to attend this event.
