ABOUT THE SUMMIT
The Cybersecurity Across Disciplines (CyAD) Summit brings together faculty, industry professionals, and government representatives from across disciplines to examine the vital role of cybersecurity in today’s interconnected world. As cyber threats increasingly affect all 16 critical infrastructure sectors—from healthcare and energy to transportation and finance—the summit emphasizes the need for an interdisciplinary, innovative, and impactful approach to cybersecurity education.
By connecting experts across sectors, the CyAD Summit fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration, sparks new ideas, and emphasizes the deeply interconnected nature of cybersecurity challenges. Through shared expertise and collective action, the summit aims to develop meaningful solutions that build resilience, strengthen education, and advance forward-thinking cybersecurity practices.
“CyAD…where academia and industry meet for advancing cybersecurity curriculum development."
Born from a visionary partnership between the National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (NCyTE) hosted at Whatcom Community College and Moraine Valley Community College, the Cybersecurity Across Disciplines (CyAD) Summit was created to unite educators, industry leaders, and innovators in a shared mission: to strengthen cybersecurity education and workforce development across disciplines including emerging fields like AI and quantum technology.
The National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (NCyTE) at Whatcom Community College (WCC) is an Advanced Technological Education (ATE) National Center, grant-funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) #2054724.
