Creating your poster
The most successful and attractive posters are graphically produced posters that highlight and summarize the main points. The least effective poster format is a photocopy of the manuscript. Poster presentations are hard-copy (paper/poster) format and will be printed and shipped to the event by NCyTE.

Your poster should include:

  • The project title and all authors at the top of the poster.
  • A brief introduction, goals, experimental detail, conclusions, and references (make sure this information is presented in a logical and clear sequence).
  • Captions and explanations of each graph, picture, and table are necessary.

Poster Size:

20 inches wide x 30 inches tall

Format:

Please use the fonts and font sizes in the poster templates provided, available in 5 color options and these formats. Click on the link to download the format of your choice.

Photography and graphics:

  • Image Resolution: Use high-resolution images in your artwork so that they will appear crisp when the poster is printed at full size. Photographs and graphics should be at least 200 pixels per inch at the printed size. For example, if the picture is 10 in. wide on the poster, the image file should be at least 2000 pixels wide.

Check the resolution of an image by ‘right-clicking’ the file and viewing the properties.

NOTE: Vector graphics (.eps, .ai) are not measured in pixels and can typically be resized without losing quality.
  • Copyright: Do not use images, charts, and diagrams that are protected by copyright. We cannot reproduce these graphics. (NSF Guidelines)

Submission details:
